dc.slides045I am not going to lie. I was a tad nervous coming into this wedding. Dana and I have mutual friends so when she called me last year she she already had her mind made, I was going to shoot her wedding. Of course she had seen my work and new it was a good fit but there is an extra level of pressure when you are shooting a friend or acquaintance. On top of that she was having an intimate (20 people) family only wedding with a brunch to follow the next day with friends. This sounds easy but often smaller weddings are more difficult to shoot because there isn’t “much” going on. Luckily I had been to and shot at the Viceroy before so I knew I had lots of fun options. After the first 10 minutes with Dana and I saw how truly stunning she looked I started to relax, then when I took the dress photo below and now consider it one of my favorite dress photos, I really started to calm down. It was a whirlwind 4 hours that first day, don’t look for a first dance or garter toss but check out these kick ass (Dana’s words) portraits and more.

Cheers to Dana and Cory. Huge Congratulations.
